The answer to that is ‘yes’ if you are inside your warranty period, failure to have it serviced by a NCC/AWS approved workshop will invalidate any warranties that the van came with, this also includes the water ingress warranty. This should also be carried out by an NCC/AWS approved workshop.

That said if you are outside the warranty of the vehicle, it would be your choice, you wouldn’t necessarily need a habitation check, not forgetting that you do have gas and electric onboard and both come with their dangers! Also, the issue with water ingress and the damp issues this can cause. Ultimately you could save yourself a rather large damp repair bill by catching these issues early.

We would always recommend getting the habitation service carried out annually, it also shows that you have looked after your asset when the time comes to sell, and you are not losing value when you part exchange for your new vehicle. As well as keeping yourself and loved ones safe.

For motorhomes and caravans, it costs £225.

With a caravan we give you the option of having the chassis serviced as well; for a single axel chassis it costs £80 + parts and for a twin axel chassis it costs £150 + parts.

We are able to do warranty work for some of the manufactures, at present we are able to help with Auto-Trail, Coachman and Hobby, we are able to deal with Thetford warranty as we are an approved center, allowing us to resolve in any manufacture’s vehicle.

We are also able to carry out third party warranties (i.e., a warranty that has been supplied on a used vehicle, Autoprotect, MB&G, Autoguard, to name a few) Please call for conformation.

Dependent on the job that you require will dictate the longevity of the appointment, we will endeavor to get you in as quickly as possible, especially if there is an issue that will need to have parts ordering for the repair, diagnosis is imperative, as parts can take time to come in.

With general servicing you can expect to be able to get an appointment within a couple of weeks.

This is something we can do for you, but it will be all dependent on your location. We have a dedicated, designated driver, who is an experienced motorhome user himself and will take exceptional care of your asset. However, this service will incur a charge all depending on your location, in conjunction to ourselves.
